The Village of Upper Nyack has been notified that bagged leaves, taken to the facility in Clarkstown, must be free of sticks and twigs. Sticks and twigs may be bagged separately. Large sticks and branches may be bundled in 6 foot lengths.

Village of Upper Nyack
The Village of Upper Nyack recently amended the 1965 Code of General Ordinances by adopting the following regulation regarding parking of vehicles:
Ordinance 2.2 Parking of Vehicles
a. No vehicle shall be parked or left standing on any Village street, excepting the south side of School Street, between the hours of 3 AM to 6 AM except utility or emergency vehicles in the fulfillment of their duties.
"Protect your loved ones and your dreams by not delaying emergency response organizations from providing assistance during an emergency. Please make sure that your premise is identified properly. Your house number should be placed in a position so that it is visible from the street. It should also not contrast with the background and should be at least a 4” (102 mm) Arabic number or alphabet letter. Numbers that are made of reflective material are particularly effective.
This action will assist emergency responders to locate your home quickly during an emergency when minutes count."

The Village of Upper Nyack is part of the Clarkstown Consolidated Lighting District. Orange & Rockland is responsible for repairs to the streetlights in Upper Nyack. If you have a streetlight out you can go to the link for Orange & Rockland. Click on Customer Service:Service Requests Supply as much information to O&R as possible. If you have the 10 digit # form the pole or the closest cross streets to aid them in locating and repairing the light.

The days that recycling will be picked up in the Village of Upper Nyack. All recycling is picked up on Monday. Recycling is not picked up on major holidays and only if they fall on a Monday.
New bins may be obtained at the village hall office, Mon-Fri, 9 am until 12 noon.
